Department seminar: "Why are some exams gender biased? A discussion of INF100 results"

Abstract:

"I'm going to present a first look at four semesters of INF100 exam result data, which occasionally show patterns of gender-related grade differences. I'll take you through my analysis trying to identify a cause for those patterns.

Which exams show a bias? Why those? These are preliminary observations, and I would like to invite the audience to discuss the data, its implications on exam design, and further research directions."
