Application development services
The BOA expert team is responsible for developing and delivering a range of support services for UiB researchers who wants to apply the Horizon Europe schemes for funding.

Services offered by the BOA team during moblisation and proposal delvelopment are depending on when the PI contacts the BOA-team, and the submission of Statement of participation (Autorisasjonserklæring) by the department. It is also depending on proposal type, and the role of UiB in the project (coordinator or partner). Please consult the list bellow for your proposal of interest.
RIA- Research and Innovation Proposals (coordinator)
Services are depending on when the PI contacts the BOA-team, and the proposal is assigned a main advisor (Autorisasjonserklæring).
12-5 months before the deadline: Project development
- Revision/ Checking of European Commission background documents

Consultancy Services (all types)
When using consultancy services in the proposal preparation process, please be mindful that UiB applicants are bound by the institutional framework agreement for consultancy services.
Proposal reading opportunities
Autumn semester 2025 FIA is organizing proposal reading sessions in Nygårdsgaten 5 as a trial offer for UiB researchers applying for external funding. The proposals are only available as paper copies via physical attendance. We have available a selection of successful proposals by UiB researchers to the following funding instruments:

All sessions are located in the venue 'Søndre Allmenning', meeting room "Sydneshaugen".

Conditions
The content of the proposals are to be treated confidentially.
- By registering for the reading session, you sign a Declaration of Confidentiality.
- You are not allowed to take the proposals out of the reading room.
- You are not allowed to make photocopies or pictures, or in other ways share the content of the proposals.

Please uset the registration form to book your spot in one/more session(s): https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/E9NDZd8HKr. You may select up to three proposals per session. This is done in the registration form. Only UiB employees may register to participate.
If you are unavailable to join the scheduled sessions, please contact your FIA research advisor to set up an individual appointment.
