Glasshouse open to the public

The historic glasshouse is open to the public again after essential renovations

The Museum Garden's 10 metre high glasshouse, 'Plantehuset', was opened in 1901. The glasshouse was bought complete in Breslau and paid for by Conrad Mohr. Originally, it had Gothic-style cast iron detailing and an arched glass roof. The central section also had a perimeter platform (balcony), in keeping with international greenhouse architecture at the time. The glasshouse was rebuilt in the mid-20th century, including a new traditional gable roof.

The greenhouse is open for visits on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 12:00-14:00.
