It is July. The rosary is in full bloom, and right now the flowering is particularly beautiful with a lot of exciting things to see both in the historical ground and among the modern roses.

Chinese Gold Rose (Rosa hugonis) was found in Western China by the missionary Hugh Scanlon in 1899. Here it grows in stony, rather dry places.

Rosa 'Edouard', was discovered on l'Île de Bourbon (Île de Réunion) in 1819, introduced to Paris from there 1823-1824. Considered the first Bourbon rose.
