The Elixir project at the Department of Informatics has been awarded 50 million.

The bioinformatics platform Elixir.no developed by the Department of Informatics and led by Professor Inge Jonassen, has been awarded 50 million by the Norwegian Research Council.

The reason for the award is that UiB has led the efforts in bioinformatics through the FUGE program since its start-up in 2002.
