My research intrests are two-fold, focused on:

  • Tectono-sedimentary and tectono-stratigraphic evolution of rift-suite basins.
  • Enhancing the use of Geostatistics & Machine learning in subsurface modelling and characterisation.

My current research at UiB and CSSR (Center for sustainable Subsurface Resources) focuses on the sedimentology of the Triassic at the Horda Platform and Utsira High in the Northern North Sea. Characterisation of the reservoir heterogeneities is conducted to assess the technical feasibility of employing the Triassic reservoirs at the two structural highs for interim H2 storage and long-term CO2 Storage. This project further assesses the efficiency of reservoir drainage during intermittent Hydro-Carbon Production in a bid to use green energy to intermittently produce reservoirs. Thanks to The Research Council of Norway for funding this Research!
