Professional IT management and support
ITIL is a set of concepts and policies for managing information technology (IT) infrastructure, development and operations.
The IT department first introduced ITIL to the service desk, BRITA. Subsequent improvements have been made in routines such as configuration and change management. Interaction between different processes is vital, as is continuous development and adjustment.
About the IT department
Research, education and imparting knowledge are the main focuses of UiB. The IT department offers a broad range of standardised ICT services to UiB users in their daily work. The IT department's work area covers infrastructure, applications and user support.
