Reward for good academic quality - the Owl Award
A) Awarded based on application to the Academic Prize given by the Ministry of Education and ResearchTildeling, see guidelines (in Norwegian only).
or
B) Awarded based on a similar application as in A), but with reduced requirements regarding documentation.
or
C) Awarded based on nominations from academic groups or the Education Committee.
Two aspects in particular will be considered:
- results achieved
- cooperation between students, academic staff and others in the planning phase, the carrying out and the follow-up phase.

- The course NANO100 Perspectives in Nano Science and Technology - Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (2010)
- ”Progress” in the master programme in Human Biological Sciences - Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (2010)
- The course BIO 300 Biological Data Analysis and Research Design - Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (2009), also awarded the Academic Prize from the Ministry of Educationa and Research
- Internationalising at the Faculty of Social Sciences (2008)
- Time limit on the master thesis at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (2007), also awarded the Academic Prize from the Ministry of Education and Research
- New academic organisation of the law degree (2007)
- Academic writing (Faculty of Humanities) (2006), also awarded the Academic Prize from the Ministry of Education and Research
At the beginning of each autumn semester, the announcement regarding the deadline for nominations/applications is sent to the faculties.
