Methods
The research is multidisciplinary and involves mathematical and statistical image processing and quantification using numerical methods implemented on Linux/Windows workstations and high performance computing facilities. The activities has strong connection with the Bergen Image Processing Group - a joint collaboration with researchers and students at the Department of Mathematics and Department of Biomedicine.
Research Topics
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) - structural and functional.
- Molecular imaging and cell imaging.
- Microscopic and macroscopic image acquisition protocols.
- Image processing (denoising, segmentation, registration, classification, visualization).
- Pattern recognition (multispectral analysis, shape analysis).
- Physiological modelling.
