Shutting off cancer cell survival mechanisms in response to chemotherapy
The mechanisms of cancer cell drug resistance is still not fully understood.
In the prestigious journal ‘Blood’ we now report how leukemia cells initiate survival mechanisms through protein translation regulation in response to chemotherapy. This knowledge may provide new strategies for improving cancer treatment.
