Mål og innhald
This is a practice based module, focusing on developing an artwork from the first idea to the final participation in an exhibition.
Within a given thematic framework, the individual artworks of each student is developed to fit the overall concepts of an exhibition. Participants¿will work with¿individual¿ideas through¿focused¿research and development into full-scale artworks.
The module will facilitate¿understanding¿of the¿translation of ideas to¿larger¿works, and the related¿planning and production skills.¿
Basic ideas of exhibition-making as well as various curatorial tools are introduced to give the student an understanding of the relation between the individual artworks to the larger context of the exhibition.

and advancement of¿practical and conceptual understanding,
competency, and autonomy¿in¿creating¿full-scale artistic works.¿
Exhibition Making will enhance the student's
understanding of:
A: Practical¿and cognitive¿skills¿in translating ideas to
full-scale artworks.
B: Approaches to¿visual conceptualization and articulation,
C: Increase their skills¿in artistic materials, tools and
processes.¿¿

Exhibition Making - Idea to Artwork is a hands-on course¿focused on the development and advancement¿of practical and cognitive skills in textile creation, where participants¿will take¿individual¿ideas through¿focused¿research and development into full-scale textile artworks.¿
Workshop practice will facilitate¿understanding¿in the¿translation of ideas to¿larger¿works, considering concepts of scaling-up, and the related¿planning,¿management¿and making¿skills.¿
Studio work will include development of project-appropriate techniques and methodologies¿and¿depending on individual practices,¿a variety of¿analogue and digital¿processes in construction,¿print,¿manipulation¿and¿colour-based¿hand-production¿techniques.
¿
Participants will be asked to consider¿and focus on one¿sub-discipline area¿(print, weave or other¿e.g., stitch)¿through which¿to develop their project. However,¿combined¿textile-based¿practices¿are¿feasible (time permitting).
Completed works will be eligible for inclusion in a focus area exhibition to be presented at a regional cultural centre.
