Shahnaz Amin Haaq is a PhD candidate affiliated with the research project Diversity Matters: Effect of family size, gender role and national integration program on preference of acculturation strategies among the Syrian refugees in Norway.

Her project will explore how migrant’s participation in integration program is affected by their family size, gender role at home and demands set by the national integration program.

Her research interests include exploring different factors and their effects on acculturation strategies preferred by minority as well as by the mainstream groups.
