Nesje Piston corer

The piston corer (Nesje-corer) is a versatile coring system that may be operated by hand, or by power winch, from lake/sea ice or raft. The corer uses 6m long (up to 12 m tubes have been successfully used) 100 mm PVC tubes with a stationary piston system hammered in to the sediments with a 30 kg weight.
