One of the main highlights for me is the very interactive teaching style. Already from the first classes it was evident that instructors strive to engage students in the discussions. I was also thrilled by the commitment and enthusiasm of my classmates. We have learned a lot from each other, and I admire their ability to combine academic rigor with the breadth of extracurricular interests (after all, during our first meeting the creation of a music band was contemplated).  

Before starting the program – and coming from a country where the ways to put social sciences expertise into practice are, to put it mildly, limited – I was primarily oriented towards an academic career. The MA in Politics and Governance of Global Challenges has broadened my horizon in this regard. While I still prioritize developing my research skills, I now see tangible and meaningful opportunities to apply rigorous political science knowledge and methods to real-world cases. I really value the chance to test this practice bend out during an internship in the third semester.
