The Norwegain welfare system

Erik Knudsen recently started his PhD-project investigating the media coverage of the Norwegian welfare system. The project examines how information from the newly established Norwegian local welfare service, «NAV», is presented to the public, how NAV is covered in the media and to what extent media coverage affects the users' attitudes to the institution. The data will be analysed through theories of mediatisation, the social contract and media effects.
