Aleksander Krzywinski

Aleksander Krzywinski's PhD research aims to explore the challenges facing interaction design for large screens. The research focus on three case studies, where multi-touch, tangible interaction and gesture tracking are the main input modes, and their consequences are evaluated by user studies.

Hovedinnhold

The increased interaction surface, higher resolution and affordance for multiple users in such systems poses a series of problems that traditional research, with its heavy focus on single user, mouse and keyboard interfaces, can not solve. Through building an evaluating a range of these systems the definition of guidelines that can be used during development of large screen interaction are sought. These studies give insight into how users percieve the interaction and the efficiency with which they can complete their given tasks. The categories of the applications range from games, through learning tools to CSCW.
