All students and staff at UiB are offered the opportunity to take individual courses in digital understanding, knowledge, and competence (DIGI). UiB started the initiative in the autumn 2022, and the courses on language technology and medical data science are new this year.

The University of Bergen and its partners collected four tonnes of plastic waste during this year’s plastic clearing drive. By comparison, 1.5 kg of plastic were found in the stomach of the Plastic Whale.
Two UiB projects, based in separate knowledge clusters, have made it through the eye of the needle and been awarded NOK 1 million each in the Research Council of Norway’s STUD-ENT innovation funding scheme.
Interested in films? Every Friday afternoon this semester, a Latin American film will be shown at UiB Global.
