Master in Global Health Programme description
CIH's Master in Global Health aims to define global health broadly as an area for study, research, and practice that places a priority on improving health and achieving health equity for all people worldwide. Learn more about the course, schedules and reading lists.

Information about exams at UiB
There is a lot of useful things you should know both before, during and after you have taken your exams, please check here.
Previous exam questions/papers are uploaded on Mitt UiB. You will find them on you Dashboard in the “box” called Det medisinske fakultet MED (Faculty of Medicine) open the folder called Eksamensoppgåver (Exam questions), thereafter you will find a folder entitled MAMD-GLOB Master programme in Global Health. Unfortunately everything is in Norwegian. If you are interested in looking at exam questions/papers prior to 2017, please check the folder MAMD-INTH_Masterprogram i internasjonal helse.
Leave of absence
If you plan for a leave of absence from you studies, you must apply to UiB. Your personal or documented leave of absence leave will then be registered in your individual education plan. Please read more here and find the application form.
You can copy and print using your student card at all of the University locations, read more about UiB's printing services.
Recognition of external education
If you have completed courses at another university in Norway or abroad, you can apply to have these courses recognized as a part of your study programme at The Faculty of Medicine. Read more here.
The deadline for semester registration is:
- 1 September (Autumn Semester)
- 1 February (Spring Semester)
You register online (Studentweb).
From autumn 2019: The first academic year the compulsory courses/activites add up to 40 ECTS credits (SDG303; INTH315; INTH330A) and elective courses should add up to 14 ECTS credits. The 6 ECTS credits for the compulsory activity Research seminars (INTH326) will be registered the last semester before the Master's examination.
Information about Student confirmations (for both confirmation of your student status, study period or study plan and confirmation of your study progress report for renewal of study permit).
The course coordinators will ask students for their evaluation of the courses. They decide on how the students should give their evaluation, i.e. online questionnaires, paper questionnaires, oral feedback in class. The coordinators will, based on these evaluations, make a report, which they upload on UiB's Quality Assurance Database.
