EMBRC Norway
The Michael Sars Centre is a member of the pan-European marine infrastructure network EMBRC.
Hovedinnhold
EMBRC Norway is the Norwegian node of EMBRC – a pan-European research infrastructure made up of a network of research organisations and marine stations across Europe that accelerates marine biology and ecology research through its knowledge, expertise, and services. The University of Bergen (UiB) is the national coordinator for EMBRC-Norway
EMBRC Norway has seven partners. These have research infrastructures – e.g. field stations, laboratories, analytical equipment and algal cultures – that facilitate experiments with marine organisms to study how they respond to changes in the marine environment. EMBRC-Norway offers European researchers and companies access to our research infrastructures in Norway, and through the collaboration, UiB researchers gain access to a number of European research infrastructures.
UiB infrastructures involved in the project are the Marine Biological Station (Espegrend) , the Salmon Lice Group and the Michael Sars Center.
At the Michael Sars Centre, interested parties can apply through the EMBRC network to gain access to our Cnidaria, Appendicularian and Ctenophore facilities.
