This year we are part of the 'pole hunt'. This is a national project that aims to inspire physical activity and to convey cultural and natural values in an area - the latter an important factor in our participation. For each pole, we present text and pictures that describe where the pole stands, be it at a specific tree, a special plant collection, or more generally about the garden. In this way we hope the pole hunt will also turn into a hunt for knowledge.

We have 15 posts, with 12 in the Arboretum and 3 in the Botanical Garden. You can visit them all on a round trip of both gardens. Our poles are evenly distributed between the easiest category, green (can be visited in a wheelchair), and blue (can be visited on an easy hike through the terrain).

Download the app "Stolpejakten", and then just get started. It is also possible to register the poles "manually" without a mobile phone and by using maps on paper.

The arboretum and botanical garden belong to the area of Bergen south, and we have set up the poles in collaboration with Kalandseid IL and IL Gneist. It starts on Saturday the 27th of March, and the poles will be available until the end of 2021.
