New guides are ready for tours
The Arboretum and Bergen Botanical Garden have long wanted to have more guides to give tours of the collections at Milde.

In collaboration with the Venneforeningen, we held a training course for guides this winter. For 8 weeks, Monday afternoons have been used for various lectures, discussions and practical exercises to educate 17 engaged participants. Perhaps not the easiest task with rain, snow and little botany to look at, but 12 of the friends association and 5 gardeners completed the course and they are now ready to take the public on tours.
From May to August, tours will now be offered 2 Sundays a month with varying themes. The tours start at 12 noon and last about 1 hour.
Current dates for Sunday tours are:
7 and 21 May, 4 and 18 June, 2 and 16 July, 6 and 20 August
Meeting place and theme for tours will be announced later.
