At the University Museum in Bergen we carry out research in natural- and cultural disciplines, and cooperates tightly with a number of research groups both at UiB, at the national and international levels. The research is anchored in the Museum´s rich scientific collections.

About the Museum

The University Museum of Bergen, originally Bergen Museum, was established in 1825.

The Museum was the ground stone for the later foundation of the University of Bergen in 1946. Today it is an integrated unit of UiB.
