Peter Ellison postdoctor at Biomaterials
Peter Ellison has received a postdoctor position, with a project to investigate reasons for failures of joint prostheses
Dr Ellison (PhD CEng) postdoctor projects are associated with BioMatLab at the Department of Surgical Science aimed to establish a total joint replacement retrieval centre. The work is focused on series of failed hip replacements that were identified by the National Joint Register, located at Haukeland university hospital. His expertise in orthopaedic biomechanics has been combined with existing competences in orthopaedic biomedical material to identify the reasons for failure and therefore help improve treatment of joint replacement patients.
