200th year anniversary party for students and staff
We invite all staff and students at the University of Bergen to a grand birthday celebration at Muséplass 1 and in the Museum Garden! There will be speeches, musical performances, cake, and coffee for everyone.

Main content
In 2025, it will be 200 years since Bergen Museum, now the University Museum, was founded. Bergen Museum is the precursor to the University of Bergen.
On April 25 students and staff members are invited to a special celebration at Muséplassen and in the Museum Garden. There will speeches by Minister of Research and Higher Education Sigrun Aasland and rector Margareth Hagen, musical performances, coffee, and cake.
A plaque in memory of the museum's founder, Wilhelm Frimann Koren Christie will also be unveiled.
You are also invited to experience the new anniversary exhibition at the University Museum, showcasing the significance the museum has had in Bergen and the world over the past 200 years.

12:00 PM - 12:30 PM: Official ceremony at Muséplassen
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Cake and coffee in the Museum Garden
