Objectives and Content
The topic covers the physical properties of MOS transistors, static and dynamic analysis of MOS and bipolar transistors, processing and layout of simple circuits used in VLSI systems. The course is fundamental for further studies in microelectronics, and is also of interest for students in related fields.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
- Explain and use transistor models valid for sub-micron digital integrated circuits.
- Explain process technology for integrated circuits.
- Design, analyze and simulate combinatorial and sequential circuits.
- Master a systematic method for optimization of speed of digital integrated circuits.
Grading Scale
The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
