The figure above is measured in author shares. Author shares are a fractional way of counting publications that gives a more comparable picture accross fields with different authorship norms. An institution gets a share of a publication, depending on how many of the authors are affiliated there. Subject is based on the journal/publisher categorisation in the NPI subject area classification.
