Visit to the Norwegian Fisheries Museum
The Norwegian Fisheries Museum was opened on June 1st 2015. We invite you to come with us and visit this museum on Thursday 18 June. We are going to find out more about the history of the Norwegian fisheries and what it means to the Norwegian people.

We will meet at 17:50 at the museum entrance. Below you will find the
museum address. The tour will start at 18:00. It will be a guided tour
in English. The tour is taking approx. 45 minutes. After the visit we
invite you to the ”van Tangen” fish bar where a fish soup and cake will
be served. This restaurant has a fantastic sea view!
The museum building itself is as old as Bryggen. During the tour we will
learn about the Norwegians shared marine resources and life in Norwegian
fishing communities through the ages. The visit will be interesting for
children as well since there are games and information stations.

You can take the bus number 3, 4, 5, 6, 83 from Bryggen. You should get
off at Sandvikstorget stop and then cross the street and walk towards the city a couple meters. Then you will see the museum sign.
NB: Since we are making reservations in the restaurant, please be sure that you can definitely participate when you are registering. If you later find out that you won`t be able to participate, please inform us as soon as possible so we don´t need to pay for your empty seat.
