Organisation of the IT division
UiB's Central IT division, managed by the IT Director, is organised in three sections and a staff unit.
Main content
The IT division is one of seven divisions in the university's central administration. Each of these has a Deputy Director as the manager and is subordinate to the University Director.
The IT division has a little more than a hundred employees. Most belong to one of the approximately fifteen groups and product lines in the sections. The groups are organized according to professional area of responsibility or product. We also have four apprentices at any time.
Both the education sector and the IT department's subject area are constantly evolving. This requires a dynamic organization, where the structure is adjusted at irregular intervals.
