The Museum projects vision

The monumental museum building will stand out as the University of Bergen’s foremost institutional symbol and will provide an important meeting place for culture, science communication and representation purposes, for the university and for the city. The renovation highlights the antiquarian qualities and historical importance of the museum building and emphasizes the unique role that the museum plays in Bergen, Western Norway and the entire country, whilst at the same time acting as a bridge between new knowledge and the activities of a modern museum.

Part of the project:

Universitetet i Bergen owns the museum.

Statsbygg is the main contractor.

Sweco Norge AS is responsible for the project coordination of the rehabilitation.
