Board members of the new faculty will be elected in December. The Election Committee urges staff and students at The Bergen Academy of Art and Design and at The Grieg Academy to propose candidates to the board.

The University Board has decided that the interim board of the new faculty shall be comprised of the following members:

  • Interim Dean
  • Three members from the group of academic staff in research and teaching positions/academic staff on fixed-term (group A)
  • One member from the group of temporary academic staff in research and teaching positions, including fellows (group B)
  • One member from the group of technical and administrative staff (group C)
  • Three student members (group D)

Elections to the interim board will be held from 8th December – 14th December (Note that the Election Committee has extended the election period with two days.  You may vote until 16th December, 12:00).

There will be separate elections to each of the groups. To group A and D there will be elected one board member and three deputy board members by and among staff and students at the departments of art, music and design.

The elections will take place in the following constituencies:

How to propose candidates

A proposal must adhere to the following requirements:

  • Be in writing
  • Be signed by at least three eligible persons
  • Contain the name of one or more candidate
  • Preferably take gender balance into account when proposing more than one candidate

A proposal may alternatively contain four names in order of priority from one to four. This list must take gender balance into account. 

The deadline for submitting proposals is 16th November at 16:00
