The Norwegian Arboretum Foundation
The arboretum - a green lung with knowledge and diversity
The foundation The Norwegian Arboret in Milde creates a green lung with knowledge and diversity. The arboretum consists of living, species-rich collections of shrubs and trees, especially rhododendrons and roses. It is a living museum, a botanical treasure trove and a diverse outdoor area. The foundation has been established in scenic surroundings in Bergen to create a unique arena for research and education, dissemination of knowledge and outdoor recreation. In order to realize the Foundation's purpose, we work closely with the University Museum in Bergen.
Visit us to experience the Nordic region's largest rhododendron collection, Norway's largest rose collection, the historic garden at the Lace House, walk the nature trails, use the swimming beaches, or to participate in one of our many events.
