Kevin Padian: Darwin's Enduring Legacy - And Some Enduring Myths

Main content

Padian was one of the central expert witnesses of the Dover trial in the US, which ended up with banning the teaching of Intelligent Design in American schools. Padian is an expert on early vertebrate evolution, especially the transition from dinosaurs to the earliest birds. He is also an expert on the history of evolutionary thinking. In Bergen, Padian will lecture on the enduring legacy of Darwin's thinking, and show some traces of Darwin that might surprise some of us.

Kevin Padian is Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, USA.

Free admission, including to the museum collections from 18:00. The lecture is suitable also for non-biologists and will be held in English. Welcome!
