We are researchers in Philosophy at the University of Begen whose work focuses on topics in moral, political, social, and legal philosophy. We also have several affiliate members from other departments and institutions. We work on a wide range of topics but share a common interest in normative questions about pressing societal and global issues such as health care, housing, economic inequality, climate change, rights, democracy, immigration, and criminal justice.

Daniel James: "On Being Off-White: Towards a Theory of Partial Racialisation"

The Critical Theories Colloquium invites to a further guest talk by Daniel James (HU Berlin). The talk is going to discuss processes of "partial" racialisation that underlie important varieties of racism such as anti-Semitism, anti-Slavism and anti-Muslimism.
