The award ceremony takes place in Haakon's Hall in Bergen, on 10 June.

The award ceremony will take place in Håkonshallen Wednesday 10 June. The Holberg Prize will be officially presented to Laureate Marina Warner by Crown Prince Haakon of Norway and the Nils Klim Prize will bepresented to Rebecca Adler-Nissen by the Norwegian Minister of Education and research, Torbjørn Røe Isaksen.

Holberg Prize

The Holberg Prize is awarded annually to scholars who have made outstanding contributions to research in the arts and humanities, social science, law or theology. The Prize for 2015 amounts to 4.5 million NOK (approximately 538 000 EUR / 735 000 USD )

Nils Klim Prize

The Nils Klim Prize is awarded to a younger Nordic researcher under the age of 35 who has made an outstanding contribution to research in the arts and humanities, social science, law or theology The Nils Klim Prize for 2015 amounts to 250,000 NOK (approximately 30 000 EUR /41 000 USD*).
