6 MARCH: Brown Bag Lunch (ta med egen matpakke) med Perus ambassadør

The Future of EU-Latin America Relations: A Turning Point?

NB! Arrangementet er på engelsk.

Hovedinnhold

During this 'Brown Bag Lunch', Mr. Gustavo Laurie Ambassador of Peru to Norway and Iceland, will talk about the future of the crucial relationship between Europe and Latin America. An important question is if we now are at a turning point?

In the talk the ambassador will reflect on the fact that EU emphasizes the importance of its relationship with Latin America and the Caribbean in an effort to bring the two continents closer.

Thus, considering that Norway often follows EU trends, could we also expect Norway to increase its engagement with Latin America, mirroring the EU's approach?

In 2023, the III EU-CELAC Meeting in Brussels resulted in a 41-point Declaration and a Roadmap for 2023-2025. So, what can be expected from the IV EU-CELAC summit at the end of 2025, and could this bring Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean even closer?
