Faculty of Psychology, Department of Health Promotion and Development

Hovedinnhold

Olin Blaalid Oldeide is an associate professor working in the master's program in child welfare and protection. Oldeide has a background in general psychology and health promotion and a PhD in Drug Prevention. The dissertation focused on how policies in municipalities are implemented through the perspectives of policymakers, outreach social workers, and youths. A central theme was youth empowerment and collaboration among the relevant services.

Oldeide’s current research is primarily focused on welfare services for children and youths, with a keen interest in the structures surrounding these services, including health promotion, prevention, and policies. Her work is at the intersection of the social and health fields, particularly in child welfare and public health/health promotion, where she is exploring new avenues of knowledge in light of recent policy reforms. Methodologically, Oldeide employs qualitative methods such as interviews and document analysis in a Norwegian setting.
