Reading spaces at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences

At the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences there are reading spaces in the Science Building, in Auditoriefløyen (Allégaten 66) and Høyteknologisenteret. These reading spaces are shared by all undergraduate students at the faculty. In addition to these reading spaces it is possible to use group rooms and colloquiums in the Science Building.

Reading spaces in the Science Building

Science Library
The Science Library (Læringssenteret) offers several reading spaces and six small rooms for group work (3-6 persons). See here for more information about the Science Library and how to book one of the group rooms. Click here for opning hours.

Study room
The study room on the first floor is a quiet reading space and is open in the opning hours to the Science Building (for bachelor students), while master students have unlimited access. It is 74 reading places in the room.

Group and seminar rooms
Group room 1-6 on ground floor and seminar room 1-3 on first floor kan be used when available in the opning hours to the Science Building. Students can also book the seminar rooms, se here.

Studygroups (colloquium)
Studygroups are placed on several floors (often in the middle) and can be used in the opning hours to the Science Building.

Cafeteria and Cafe
The Cafeteria on the second floor and the Cafe on the ground floor can be used in the opning hours to the Science Building.

Opning hours in the Science Building
The Science Building is open with student card and code between 7.15 am and 10 pm on weekdays, 7.15 am and 8 pm on Saturdays and 8 am and 8 pm on Sundays (bachelor students). Master students have unlimited access.

Reading spaces in Auditoriefløyen

There are two study rooms in Auditoriefløyen, with together 185 reading spaces. There are also studygroups in the open space.

Students have access to Auditoriefløyen with student card and code all days between 6.30 am and 11.55 pm.

Reading spaces in Høyteknologisenteret

The study room in Høyteknologisenteret has 40 reading spaces. It is also possible to study in the open space between the entrence and the cafeteria.

Opening hours in Høyteknologisenteret
The study room is open between 8 am and 8 pm all days with student card and code.
