Art historians are responsible for carrying out important work in society: They look after the past, are involved in planning the future and are key players in shaping the present.
The history of art provides us with knowledge about art, architecture and visual culture in a historical, social, rhetorical and aesthetic perspective. The subjects we examine are visual media spanning from ancient times to the present day, including painting, sculpture, photography, architecture and landscape. Tuition and research are offered which cover a broad range of topics and areas.
