Norrøne tekster i utval contains a varied collection of Old Norse texts, presented in their original form on the right, with parallel translations into modern Norwegian on the left. Each chapter contains an introduction on the background to the texts and makes recommendations for further reading.
The book was published in 1994 with Fjernord (distance learning) studies in mind, but it has subsequently been used extensively for teaching Old Norse at sixth form college and university level. This book is eminently suitable for studying because it contains parallel translations.
