Tom Eichele and Kenneth Hugdahl at the KGJN Center publishes a Neuroeconomics study in the prestigious journal PNAS. The study is a collaboration between the Functional MRI-group at UiB and the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). The study reveals centers in the brain involved in the computation of fairness.
The 16th world congress of psychiatry was held this year in Madrid. The world-wide meeting was aimed at bringing together psychiatrists, scientists and clinicians from all countries and continents, focusing on quality, access and humane care. Lundervold has got a grant from the Peder Sather Center, with an aim to strengthen research collaboration with Professor Steve Hinshaw at UC Berkeley.
The Meltzer Research Fund Awards were announced on 7 March, for excellence in research and for young researchers. This year there was also time for the honorary award for excellence in research, which was awarded to Professor Kenneth Hugdahl.
In March, KGJebsen Centre for Research on neuropsychiatric disorders, organized a mini-symposium for their research groups.
