Workshop Access Course, each semester

Access to workshops and equipment
KMDINTRO is workshop access courses (health and safty course) for the workshops. They are required in order to get access to the different workshops. Master students in Fine art have the opportunity to complete two KMDINTRO courses at the beginning of each semester as an offer additional to the teaching in PRO.

Some elective courses (PRO) include the KMDINTRO course as part of the teaching, as described in the course description (links in the course codes above). If you have a urgent need for access to a specific workshop we recommend that you register for a KMDINTRO course, even if you have prioritized a PRO course that has HSE included in the teaching, as we cannot guarantee that you will be assigned your first chosen PRO course.

NOTE: Some KMDINTRO courses require previously acquired technical experience or competence in order to participate. This applies to the courses listed in this application form. The required experience or competence is described in the descriptions for each KMDINTRO course at uib.no/emner. The workshop engineer for the relevant workshop must approve your application for prior experience in order for you to attend these KMDINTRO courses. You will always find a link to the application form in the relevant course in your educational plan in Studentweb or in the content description for the KMDINTRO course. Please contact the workshop engineer if you have questions about which experience or documentation can be approved.

Optional:
(max. 2 each semester)

Please read the course descriptions for the electives courses (PRO) for information about HSE given in teaching.

If you need additional workshop access for your art practice, please sign up directly in Studentweb
Please read information above about required previously acquired technical experience or competence and how to apply to these.
