Michael Ceballos: "Differential Virus Host Ranges and Virus Production in the Fuselloviride of Hyperthermophilic Archaea"

Main content

Research Assistant Professor Michael Ceballos, is Director of The Native American Research Lab (NARL) at The University of Montana, USA. The mission of NARL is to provide American Indian students with “hands-on” research opportunities in basic and biomedical sciences, with the aim to increase the number of indigenous students pursuing advanced degrees in the sciences.

With funding from both the National Science Foundation and NASA, his lab focuses on studying heat-shock proteins in hyperthermoacidophilic archaea as well as host protein-viral protein interactions. His laboratory also studies protein-protein and protein-nucleic acid interactions in lentiviral systems.
