Malebo Hellen Moepi - Aquaculture Biology

Malebo is studying for her Masters in Aquaculture Biology. Originally from South Africa, she started at the University of Bergen in Autumn 2008.

Her project is called "Effect of different filter methods on water quality to a marine scallop hatchery". The objectives of the study are:

1. to test the effect of different filter treatments (Active Filter Medium and Drum Filter) on characterization of chemical and microbial components in seawater
2. to test the effect on growth of phytoplankton and development of scallop egg to larvae.
