Armine Margaryan from Armenia is the first visiting PhD student in a new Eurasia programme in geomicrobiology

Ms Armine Margaryan is a PhD student and lecturer at Department of Microbiology, Plants and Microbes Biotechnology, Faculty of Biology, Yerevan State University. She will visit us until mid December to work on her project on extremophilic heavy metal- and heat-adapted bacteria, and take courses in bioinformatics and microbiology. The Eurasia programme is funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs/SIU.
