PhD dissertation - Fatema Moni Chowdhury

Fatema Moni Chowdhury defended on April 28, 2013, her PhD thesis "Determination of virulence and pathogenicity of environmental Shigella-like isolates and evaluation of possible vaccine strains" at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Chowdhury has been enrolled as PhD student in a University of Bergen/University of Dhaka sandwich model as part of the NUFU-funded project "Assessment of microbial pollution and diversity of Escherichia coli and Shigella in freshwater resources in Bangladesh". Part of her thesis work has been done during a visit to Bergen. She is now working as Senior Lecturer at Department of Microbiology, Primeasia University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
