Aculifera are mostly tiny worm-like molluscs with the body covered by spicules that inhabit soft bottoms and corals. Norway is considered a hot spot of diversity for this molluscs, but still much has to be learnt about their diversity and systematics. Recent phylogenomic studies have showed that they are sister to the polyplacophora.
