Star experiences and gym-hall aesthetics

Kari Holdhus has just finished her Ph.D. project on school concerts. She has been looking at the questions "how do school concerts work", and "what is the quality".

Friday was the day of Kari's Viva Voce Examination, and this took place at Aarhus University, Institut for Uddannelse og Pædagogik (DPU).

Her thesis is a monography with the title "Star experiences and gym-hall aesthetics; A study of quality construction in school concerts" (Norwegian: ”Stjerneopplevelser eller gymsalsestetikk? - En studie av kvalitetskonstruksjoner i skolekonsertpraksiser”).

Kari Holdhus has been an active member of Grieg Research School since the very beginning in 2010, and she has contributed in a great way to the building of a milieu within GRS - both academically, socially, and also as the candidate representative in the GRS Board.

Grieg Research School wants to thank Kari for her contributions, and to congratulate her with the doctoral degree.

 

Kari Holdhus is now holding a position as a teacher at Stord/Haugesund University College.
