Students need to take an active role in discussions about sustainable development and the future of higher education. In connection to the SDG Conference at the University of Bergen (UiB) on 8–9 February, representatives from student unions and student organizations will meet at a pre-conference workshop to discuss concrete opportunities for students at Norwegian universities to engage with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A particular focus will be questions connected to higher education. The meeting is convened by the Executive Committee (Arbeidsutvalget) of the Student Parliament at the University of Bergen, and the SDG Conference Committee. The National Union of Students (NSO) and the Norwegian Students' and Academics' International Assistance fund (SAIH), and the UiB Collaboratory are among the participants.

The pre-meeting takes place 7 February and is by invitation only. Please contact Anja Myrtveit for more information.
