Seminar, Supervision Forum for PhD supervisors 03.11.2023

The 12th edition of the SV’s Supervision Forum will take place 3 November 13.15-14.15 and will focus on the topic Co-authoring of PhD articles: what works and what doesn’t?. 

Initial Speaker: Håvard Haarstad (CET)

Many PhD candidates are co-authoring PhD articles with supervisors, project partners and others. This can be of great help to the PhD project and their career development, but it can also be tricky in terms of division of responsibility, credit and work. What are important things to think about when guiding PhD candidates through co-authorship? And what is the role of the supervisor in co-authored PhD articles? Håvard Haarstad has experience in this field, and will share some experiences and reflections. 

Olena Dubovyk (Geography) will open the floor for questions and comments from the supervisors and act as the moderator.
