Funds and legacies
ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE FACULTY’S FUNDS AND LEGACIES FOR 2018.
The deadline for applications for funds from the faculty’s funds and legacies for 2018 is 1 December 2017.
The funds and legacies which accepting applications for 2018 are:
· Det alminnelige naturvitenskapelige forskningsfond ved Universitetet i Bergen supports research and other scientific work at The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Bergen. Estimated amount available for 2018: NOK 59.000.
· Hans B. Fasmers fond supports nuclear research and other research within the field of physics at the University of Bergen. Estimated amount available for 2018: NOK 96 000.
· Felleslegat til fordel for biologisk forskning supports research within the field of biology at the University of Bergen. Estimated amount available for 2018: NOK 126 000.
· Fanny Schnelles forskningsfond supports research within the field of chemistry at the University of Bergen. Estimated amount available for 2018: NOK 205 000.
Due to an ongoing process regarding possible changes in the faculty's other funds and legacies, there will be no allocations from these for 2018.
Applications for funds and legacies mentioned above will be assessed by a committee appointed by The Faculty Board. The successful applicant should submit a high quality project description where the purpose of the application and the period for which you are applying is made clear. The project must be in accordance with the purpose of each individual fund or legacy, cf. the enclosed rules.

From this year, applications must be made in UoB’s new application system before 1 December 2017 https://fond.app.uib.no/main/. Applications sent elsewhere may not be considered.
The granting of funds will take place mid-March 2018.
